MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Data Scientist to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creates new, innovative methodologies to detect threats by collaborating with data visualization experts, analysts, and leadership.
Utilizes cutting-edge technologies for in-depth threat analysis and develops algorithms that proactively support analysts in detecting insider risk.
Provides data expertise by building custom data pipelines for large datasets using commercial and/or open-source data science tools.
Develops tools and methodologies to ensure that vast amounts of structured and unstructured data are properly categorized, processed, and presented to analysts efficiently.
Stays current on all data science methodologies, developments, and industry best practices, and evaluates and recommends new techniques to further develop the Insider Threat Program.
Utilizes Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop natural language categorization and querying capabilities and provides modeling approaches to assess personnel risk and suitability.
Ability to travel domestically.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience with statistical data modeling and software analytics.
Subject Matter Expertise in statistical data modeling, data science, and programming algorithms with data visualization software packages.
Experience writing technical reports, training manuals or similar documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Data Modeling, Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics; Five (5) additional years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
