Position Overview

Under general direction of the Deputy General Counsel of Litigation, serves as the Litigation Coordinator for the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of General Counsel. Organizes, plans, executes, controls and evaluates the operation of all litigation logistics for the Office of General Counsel.  Prepares discovery for IDHS attorneys in matters where the Attorney General is representing the Illinois Department of Human Services or its employees in court or before the Civil Service Commission. Prepares information, including summarizing complex data or ideas, for the Office of General Counsel attorneys that are appearing before administrative tribunals in Illinois. Coordinates Attorney General representation of Department and employees.  Assists the Office of General Counsel’s attorneys in responding to third-party subpoenas issued to the Department in cases where the Attorney General is representing current and former Department employees.
