JOB OVERVIEW
The Learning & Development Business Partner is responsible for the overall program management, coordination, tracking, analysis and effectiveness of face-to-face and blended training programs for KONE Americas (Canada, US, Mexico) Front Line, Supply Line, Global Units and Centralized Functions. Acts as Project Manager and owner of Learning Content governance process and resource management. Serves as a liaison with the business lines to develop strategic competence development plans and translates them into learning priorities. Provides direction for training programs delivered face-to-face anywhere in the Americas – both centrally (Moline, Allen, Lisle) and at front line locations.
JOB DUTIES
Facilitation, curation and platform management for Global Priority Programs delivered in US and Canada (e.g. Leadership Fundamentals). Create and develop training materials and deliver training for support of Curatr and other new learning methods.
Partners with Americas Business Lines and Functions to build competence development plans which drive Learning & Development Activities.
Owns Learning Content governance process, including managing projects, collaborating with design team and managing priorities with the Project Management Office.
Ownership of program management for face-to-face and blended trainings delivered in KONE Americas. Works with team members to ensure delivery is high quality and in-line with KONE Learning guidelines. Manages team members who:
Oversee all practical arrangements including travel instructions, booking of hotel blocks, shuttles, meals, classroom supplies, classroom setup and troubleshooting of AV equipment.
Lead the annual review and continuous improvement process for eLearning and mobile content library. Update content as/when needed.
Manage translation process, working with stakeholders in Canada and Mexico
Collaborate widely across the L&D team, organization and with global team on projects, initiative as needed.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with global training programs.
Provide support for local HR Managers, Branch Learning Specialist and employees on queries on employee development.
Explore, implement and promote the usage of new digital learning methods.
Research, identify, test and compare new technology, tools, and ways of working that support the development and deployment of training programs and follow local trends in competence development and provide input to area and global CoE.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in delivering blended learning programs using cloud-based platforms such as Curatr, with a strong understanding of emerging technologies and trends in learning and development. They possess extensive knowledge of online and digital learning solutions, including mobile learning, gamification, AR/VR, and MOOCs. Proficient in MS Office 365 tools like SharePoint and Visio, the candidate excels in project management, capable of overseeing multiple training programs simultaneously. They demonstrate leadership, coaching, and feedback skills, working independently with minimal supervision to drive projects to completion. Their excellent collaboration and cross-cultural communication abilities enable them to work effectively with diverse teams across global business lines. They are customer-focused, results-driven, and possess strong problem-solving, graphic/visual literacy, and attention to detail. Fluency in Spanish or French is preferred, alongside their strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
