In this position... 

As the Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for a direct purchasing VHM for the FCSD purchasing organization. In this role, you will set the strategy and priorities to meet key objectives, ensure team development and assessment, manage escalation, and cultivate strong supplier partnerships. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process and cost improvements, develop supplier management strategies, and ensure compliance to our standards.

What you'll do...

  • Process Design and Optimization:
    • Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Implement strategy to manage and optimize the VHM spend
    • Develop creative solutions to optimize cost and supplier service levels and drive continuous improvement
    • Supplier Relationship Management
  • People Development:
    • Identification of team skills gap
    • Development of skilled team to manage complex direct commodities
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments, including marketing and sales organizations, supply chain, & finance to ensure process improvements align with company objectives and business needs.
    • Linkage with other functional areas to ensure leveraged spend and optimized supplier management
  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for further process and cost optimization.

You'll have... 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years Purchasing experience. Established and successful track record of managing complex categories and delivery optimized cost solutions.
  • Experience with purchasing tools and software; Experience with compliance tools and management

  • Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
