Massage Therapist

Job description

The role of the Massage Therapist is to provide massage therapy services for the residents of White Horse Village (WHV). The massage therapist will assist the Wellness Manager in scheduling massage appointments and developing the massage program at WHV.

The massage therapist plays an integral role in Wellness Center services by helping to educate residents on the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic massage therapy services for residents and team members of White Horse Village.
• Maintain an active list of clients that participate in massage therapy services.
• Work collaboratively with the Wellness Manager to promote and assist with Wellness Center programs related to massage.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified and registered massage therapist in the state of Pennsylvania 
• Must carry current personal liability insurance. 
• Experience working with older adults as a massage therapist.
• Experience working with individuals who have arthritis, physical limitations or chronic diseases. 
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Possesses a rich understanding of human anatomy and the healing benefits of massage therapy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable means of transportation. 

This is an Independent Contractor position

Salary information: $29.75- Half hour massage, $59.50/ Hour massage
