The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Manage a staff of project engineers located at plants throughout the US to drive growth, productivity, EHS, and renewal capital investments. Responsible for value/opportunity identification, project execution, plant operating committee leadership, and support of annual capital planning. Develop and maintain the technical competency and project management skills of the group. Provide leadership to 3M Engineering through engineering sponsored committees and technical organizations. Develop and implement facility and equipment renewal plans in partnership with external and internal partners. Provide leadership, development, and coaching to execute projects on time (rapid execution), within budget (cost effective solutions), and with predictable spend accuracy. This role executes strategic and operational plans for the engineering group and supports execution of similar plans for their assigned production plants.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
• Ten (10) years of Capital Project Execution in a private, public, government or military environment
• Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution
• Five (5) years of Capital Engineering Leadership in a private, public, government or military environment
• Skills include: Communication, Planning, Leadership, Strategy, Prioritization, Project Execution

Work location:

• Primarily Resides in Valley, NE (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to other 3M locations or Maplewood at least [3] days per month)

Travel: May include up to 25% - domestic
