<p>Head of EMEA Hedge Fund Accounting & Head of Alternatives Fund Accounting Ireland (PCF34) </p><p>Managing Director<br/> </p><p>What you will be responsible for</p><ul><li>Responsible for the operational execution, strategy and budgets for all hedge fund accounting in EMEA.</li><li>Regulatory role of Head of Alternatives Fund Accounting Ireland (PCF34)</li><li>Primary point of escalation driving solutions and navigating across global dual manager reporting lines to collaborate to drive the best outcomes for SSFSIL clients.</li><li>Collaboration with senior members of GD, CPO and CCO to drive a solution driven, client centric culture for Alternatives EMEA.</li><li>Ensure that the business has the right resources, including staff, IT, financial and oversight functions to operate effectively.</li><li>Ensure that the business unit operates in compliance with internal policies, procedures and controls along with external regulations and Industry guidance ensuring escalation procedures are followed as required.</li><li>Oversee EMEA hedge fund accounting against a backdrop of internal and external audit control and compliance, risk management, fiduciary control, procedural documentation and business continuity.</li><li>Lead and manage a consistent high quality service delivery to clients, working closely with Global Services Client Executive & Client Service Teams</li><li>Regional responsibility for the implementation of global hedge fund accounting operating model and related business transformation initiatives.</li><li>Regional responsibility for change management relating to hedge fund accounting including client integration, client change, regulatory and internal change.</li><li>Ireland responsibility for change management relating to alternatives fund accounting including client integration, client change, regulatory and internal change.</li></ul><p></p><p>Managerial</p><ul><li>Demonstrate the ‘Risk Excellence’ culture in your behavior. Establish and nurture a culture of ‘Risk Excellence’ within the team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion.</li><li>Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behavior in performing their roles.</li><li>Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behavior.</li><li>Maintain a detailed understanding of the scope of the role’s managerial responsibilities and the competence of the staff reporting to you.</li><li>Ensure that your reports have a clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competency requirements plus progress is reviewed regularly in line with Company policy and are regulatory registered where appropriate for their role.</li><li>Develop and retain talent through facilitating development opportunities and mobility across the teams.</li><li>Advocate and support the embedding of Inclusion and Diversity actions into the day-to-day culture through direct sponsorship of initiatives and the broader support of all Cultural enhancements.</li><li>Develop effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported.</li><li>Develop and retain talent through facilitating development opportunities and mobility across the department.</li><li>Advocate and support the embedding of Inclusion and Diversity actions into the day-to-day culture through direct sponsorship of initiatives and the broader support of all Cultural enhancements.</li><li>Establish and monitor systems of control, delegated authority and escalation procedures so that the business complies with internal policies and external regulations and can be managed effectively.</li><li>Adhere to the delegation and oversight (management information and escalation) framework in the performance of daily tasks. This includes taking proactive action to ensure there is adequate production of management information that is fits for purpose, and issues are raised as appropriate.</li><li>Establish and monitor an effective delegation framework to ensure that tasks are performed by staff members with appropriate capacity and authority level (based on knowledge, skills and competence), and issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved in a timely manner.</li></ul><p>What we value </p><p>These skills will help you succeed in this role</p><ul><li>Recommended to have University Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics</li><li>Minimum 15 years of experience in the Banking and Investment Fund business</li><li>Operational Experience and experience in the management of teams remotely and locally</li><li>Leadership experience in previous roles</li><li>Experience in managing large client relationships.</li><li>Experience and knowled
