Description
Position Description
Performs routine consultations and procedures in a manner that conforms to the protocol and policies established. Uses professional judgment in the practice of aesthetics within the scope of their degree and level of training and consistent with the laws of the state of California, the rules and regulations of the California State Board of Registered Nursing and the policies of Empire Aesthetic Center. Participates in an effort to provide quality patient care, foster growth, achieve goals, and cross promote both medical and aesthetic services.
Essential Functions
- Conducts consultations and documents history including chief complaint, relevant symptoms as appropriate
- Performs patient consultations and suggest appropriate recommendations within the range of services offered at Empire Aesthetic Center
- Adequately documents findings within an electronic records environment.
- Clearly documents impressions and clinical action plan in the chart, including referrals to other providers, long-term medical management
- Takes and documents before and after photographs from patient
- Obtains necessary consent forms for treatments, procedures, and media use of images
- Answers patient questions and makes skincare and procedure recommendations
- Performs minimally invasive and non-invasive aesthetic procedures:
Laser Hair Removal
BBL/IPL
Laser Tattoo removal
Sofwave
Microneedling
Coolsculpting
Emsculpt
Chemical peels
- Educates patients regarding aesthetics treatments offered and skin health and manages patient expectations
- Actively communicates with fellow providers and support staff to optimize the quality of clinical care and service to patients.
- Regularly consults with Nurse Practitioner(s), Doctor(s) and Medical Director for patient treatment plans
- Attends and contributes to staff, provider, and operational meetings to keep up with events and policy changes
- Maintains all licensing and job requirements (RN, CE, CPR, BSL, safety training, etc.)
- Assists with maintaining clean and sterile exam rooms and patient areas
- Dictates/writes referral and information letters to other providers or agencies, as appropriate, or otherwise communicates with patients, patient care-takers, or other providers as appropriate
Salary
- $40-$45 an hour, depending on experience
- Opportunity to earn a production bonus after one year of employment
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, days, schedule is 2-3 days per week
- Occasional nights/weekends with advance notice for events
- Occasional travel as needed for conferences and training
Report to
- Practice Administrator/CEO
Classification
- part time, non-exempt employee (with the goal of moving to full time as the schedule grows)

Education and Experience:
- Must be licensed in the State of California as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of health care operations within a community to demonstrate understanding of the impact of nursing services preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a private practice or med spa (Preferred)
- Familiarity with EHR and Practice Management software
- Obtain ZO Skincare Expert Certification within 6 months
- Able to pass a background screening
