About the role

JOB PURPOSE:

The Centralized Business Sales Account Executive of Midco Properties is a sales professional responsible for implementing sales strategies aimed at securing our ability to provide service to multiple dwelling units (MDU) properties, maximizing product/service penetration and increasing revenue. This job can be filled in the Midco footprint of ND, SD, MN, or KS.

The hiring range for this position is $17.50-$21.25 per hour.  The actual base salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors including internal equity, location, and the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills and experience.   

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a quarterly bonus based on company and/or individual performance. 

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Service incoming calls, and emails from business customers inquiring about Midco products and services.
  • Build relationships with the current customer base to enable renewal and growth of embedded services.
  • Make outbound calls to current customers to improve relationships and reduce the propensity to end Midco services through needs-based questioning.
  • Actively support Outside Account Executives by sharing lead insights, assisting with proposal development, and ensuring timely follow-up on shared opportunities.
  • Retain business customers through identifying customer concerns and selling the value of Midco products and services.
  • Identify trends causing termination of services and provide feedback as necessary to management team for consideration.
  • Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to MDU stakeholders.
  • Secure Letters of Permission or Contracted Service Agreements.
  • Qualify and develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations and contracts.
  • Meet or exceed organizational goals for lead development, new revenue, upselling, and add-on selling.
  • Coordinate internally with Business Client Fulfillment and Operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff and positive onboarding experience for clients.
  • Refer leads as appropriate to Residential, Business, MDU, and Advertising sales teams.
  • Utilize CRM for all activities in the sales process, including but not limited to recording customer transactions and interactions, contract, and pipeline management.
  • Be able to accurately forecast opportunities and performance throughout the year.
  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BS/BA in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least 1 year of previous sales or relevant customer service/sales experience in a call center environment desired.
  • Ability to meet and over-achieve quota or goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic or similar CRM.
  • Proficient keyboard skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Call Center Environment, in a cubicle, wearing a headset.
  • Must remain at workstation for long periods of time.
  • Extremely time sensitive in order to meet customer demand.
  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
