Food Services - Chick-Fil-A Dishwasher/Utility - Lopes Way (FWS/NFWS) Mid 10am-4pm/Closing Mon/Fri6pm-11pm

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Utility Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Food Services department.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher/Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils. This position will be located at the Chick-Fil-A Lopes Way location on campus.

General Responsibilities:

• Washes dishes by hand.
• Washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, and clean floors.
• Removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Transfers supplies and equipment within and between storage and work areas such as pantry and dish room.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.
• Polishes silver.
• May wash pots.
• Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
• Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.  
• Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Lifting heavy objects occasionally.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Cleaning Chemicals for Dishes
• Sponges
• Broom & Mop

Qualifications & Requirements

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
