Position: Varsity Golf Coach

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree and Coaching Certification preferred but not required. Previous pitching coach experience at the high school, advanced club or higher levels is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of coaching experience (knowledge of contemporary pitching mechanics/philosophies) coupled with a commitment to the ideals of a Catholic, Jesuit Secondary Education.

Position Responsibilities

Candidate must…

• Demonstrate strong teaching, leadership and organizational qualities within a competitive and comprehensive interscholastic golf program

• Foster a team environment that supports a strong work ethic and the appropriate behavior and sportsmanship of all participants

• Exhibit great passion for golf and the high school athletics experience

• Effectively and positively communicate with student-athletes, administration, parents and coaches

• Be available for practices and matches from mid-August – November (typically 5-6 days per week)

• Collaborate with the Athletic Director in the creation of practice plans and match schedule
