Responsibilities

Position Summary – Security Clearance and Administrative Specialist 

Supports ODNI personnel security and administrative operations by processing clearance/access actions, maintaining accurate security records, and providing responsive coordination for onboarding/offboarding, visits, and customer security requirements. This role works closely with the Security Clearance and Admin Team Lead, program leadership, and employees to ensure timely, compliant, and customer-aligned support.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Process personnel security actions (e.g., indoctrination/debrief support, access requests, visit certifications, and status tracking) in coordination with the FSO and customer security offices. 
  • Maintain accurate employee security files and program trackers (electronic and/or hard copy) in accordance with company procedures and applicable government requirements. 
  • Draft, route, and track security forms and supporting documentation (e.g., NDAs, briefing/acknowledgment forms, foreign travel reporting, incident reporting). 
  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding security checklists, including account/access submissions and badge/credential coordination as required by the customer. 
  • Support periodic audits/self-inspections by assembling artifacts, reconciling rosters, and addressing data quality gaps. 
  • Provide administrative support to security operations (calendar coordination, meeting notes, training tracking, and controlled document distribution). 
  • Respond to routine employee questions on security procedures and direct complex issues to the FSO as appropriate. 
  • Maintain discretion and protect sensitive information in accordance with need-to-know principles. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be US Citizen

  • Active Top Secret SCI Clearance and Active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph 

  • 3 years of experience in personnel security, industrial security administration, or a related administrative role supporting cleared programs.  

  • Skilled in ICD 704, DISS/Scattered Castles, and database management to facilitate clearance processing and maintain critical personnel security records 

  • Working knowledge of common clearance/access processes and visit coordination for DoD and/or IC environments. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive actions with minimal rework. 

  •  

    Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and basic SharePoint/file management practices. 

  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, program managers, and government security personnel. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in or supporting a SCIF environment. 
  • Experience supporting security compliance activities (self-inspections, training metrics, corrective action tracking). 

    Experience in government contracting environments with multiple customers/programs. 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a customer facility and/or SCIF when required. 
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (files, boxes, office equipment) as needed. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with controlled access procedures.
