About the role

#WeAreCrowdStrike and our mission is to stop breaches. As a global leader in cybersecurity, our team changed the game. Since our inception, our market leading cloud-native platform has offered unparalleled protection against the most sophisticated cyberattacks. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing over 1 trillion events a day with a petabyte of RAM deployed in our Cassandra clusters - and this traffic is growing daily. We’re looking for people with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to developing and shaping our cybersecurity platform. Consistently recognized as a top workplace, CrowdStrike is committed to cultivating an inclusive, remote-first culture that offers people the autonomy and flexibility to balance the needs of work and life while taking their career to the next level. Interested in working for a company that sets the standard and leads with integrity? Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior-to-Principal (Level 7) Technical Contributor whose experience, skills and interests exist at the intersection of hands-on distributed services development in a modern backend language (Java, Scala, Golang, Node.js) and advocacy + evangelism on behalf of the customers and partners who want to extend their use of the Falcon Platform. Success in this role will require that you learn the Falcon API portfolio as well as our Falcon Fusion and Foundry platforms, acting as Falcon developer advocate by helping our customers and partners to be successful in their application of our APIs, Foundry and Fusion to their unique security challenges.

Fusion – a core ‘tier one’ workflow (SOAR) offering in our Flagship Platform, Falcon – is used by customers to automate 80% of breach remediation actions with the Falcon Platform and is the automation core of our NGSIEM offering.

Foundry, our low-code/no-code Security Application Platform, offers customers the ability to extend their use of the Falcon Platform by building custom apps to solve the unique cybersecurity challenges and stop adversaries.

The Falcon APIs provide programmatic access to the Falcon platform, thereby further enhancing the value customers derive from the Falcon modules they have licensed.

We're looking for smart people who want to be challenged and take ownership of building and contributing to the Falcon developer community. Preferential consideration will be earned by candidates who have a standing interest (and any demonstrable experience) in publishing or presenting technical content on behalf of their product(s), and who are interested in continuing to advocate in such fashion for the customization and extension of Crowdstrike's Falcon Platform.

 Success Means:

  • Ability to quickly learn our product suite: Foundry, Fusion, and Falcon APIs + SDKs, with sufficient technical depth to advocate for them.

  • Ongoing content creation - actively contributing to the Falcon developer community, furthering adoption/usage of Falcon platform development by customers

  • Owning developer feedback to platform groups that drive product improvements

  • Creation and release of new and novel Crowdstrike OSS Foundry apps

  • Embracing change in (and helping to define…) your role’s responsibilities, which are tied to aggressive growth goals of our Falcon developer community

What You'll Do:

  • Work across product groups to build your network and facilitate PG collaboration across a large number of Falcon platform modules

  • Work with engineering, solution architects and business stakeholders to create a vision and plan of action for building the Falcon Developer Relations community

  • Leverage Falcon platform development along with modern development tools/libraries/languages to create app examples in order to help customers enhance their Falcon usage

  • Attend various events in order to present on all facets of the Falcon developer experience, especially new and improved APIs and Foundry capabilities

  • Write documents, articles and create video presentations that further help customers understand development with the Falcon platform

  • Engage with customers, partners, and ISVs through our multiple online Falcon developer groups and forums

What You'll Need:

  • 7+ years of overall applicable experience in a product engineering role supporting a PaaS/SaaS product.

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (hands-on) building backend software with a PaaS/SaaS delivery model

  • Proficient knowledge in coding any of the following backend languages: Go, Java, Python

  • Proficient with API integration, REST APIs, building SDKs over APIs
