Job Description:As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you will play a pivotal role in driving our technology strategy and executing our vision of creating a membership-driven healthcare marketplace. You will partner closely with the senior management team to define the product vision, strategy, and execution roadmap. Your focus will be on leveraging healthcare data and technology to build a platform that empowers our members to make smart healthcare purchase decisions while driving down costs.
Responsibilities:1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with theproduct roadmap and business goals.2. Collaborate with the senior management team to define the product vision, strategy,and execution roadmap, with a focus on membership programs, data-driven insights, and cost reduction.3. Lead all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance.4. Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team, attracting top talent and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.5. Implement best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations.6. Ensure data protection and security measures are in place, adhering to regulatory standards and privacy requirements.7. Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, including product, operations, and business teams, to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in healthcare and insurtech, identifying opportunities to leverage them for innovation and growth.
Requirements:1. Previous experience as a CTO, Head of Engineering, or technical leader in a startup or mid-sized company, preferably in the healthcare, insurtech, or membership-focused industry. Proven success in terms of an exit or significant multistage growth a plus.2. Strong technical understanding and experience with healthcare data, insurance claims data, or related domains.3. Proven track record of driving technical strategy and execution, delivering scalable and innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.4. Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including experience with modern technologies, architecture, and infrastructure.5. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to hire and manage the right talent to scale the engineering team and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and drive alignment between business and technology.7. Passion for healthcare innovation, data-driven decision-making, and creating positive user experiences.8.
