The Global Business Execution Head Citi Private Bank (CPB) manages a team of senior professionals and will form part of CPB leadership team.

The role supports the Business head in leading all strategic and operational aspects of running and growing this strategic client segment including financial performance, pricing, product service optimization, on-boarding, digital initiatives, client experience and strategic growth initiatives. The job requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles. In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business, as well as thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise. The Global Business Execution Head CPB will assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business, refining the strategy and value proposition, designing the optimal operating model and implementing a framework and governance model that drives business results successfully and consistently across all regions.  The job is likely to be involved in both internal and external negotiations which will have a major impact on the area managed, and possibly on other related areas and organization as a whole. The role will drive medium- to long-term plans and execute functional strategies for a large/complex country, cluster of countries, or business requiring coordination and integration across units. The role includes full management responsibility of multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning. The Global Business Execution Head CPB has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact or influence on company revenues, capital or business operations.

This role will assist in managing the day-to-day aspects of the business, refining the strategy and value proposition, designing the optimal operating model and implementing a framework and governance model that drives business results successfully and consistently across all regions.  The role will also oversee the development of the strategic plan for CPB and, along with other members of the CPB Leadership Team, will work together to ensure the successful execution of CPB’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape the strategic priorities and business transformation agenda for CPB covering multiple dimensions including client strategy, product priorities, Citi and Wealth  partnerships, digital initiatives, and talent strategy.
  • Ensure stakeholder buy-in for strategic initiatives and translate initiatives into execution plans.
  • Set goals for strategic efforts and ensure tracking and measuring are in place for all initiatives.
  • Responsible for business-planning initiatives for global CPB
  • Partner with Finance and COO Business Planning Lead on business planning activities, including headcount management, new expense investment plans and governance of major approved investment spend.
  • Establish and conduct management processes – product management meetings, financial reviews, Operations, Technology and Sales meetings as needed.
  • Responsible for client engagement to manage client experience and complex client situations. •   
  • Ensure that the organization is defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals. They will be responsible for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and significant contribution to future strategy of the group. The role will reinforce and support management across the group function, with focus on fostering a culture of controls and accountability.
  • Establish a new strategy and more effective interaction model between Citi and its network partners.
  • Evaluate the internal and external business environment to develop a long term network vision and strategy for the organization.
