If this sounds like an environment you’d love to work in, even if you only have some of the experience listed below, please apply.
The Role:
This role is tailor-made for a systems-minded HR professional who can design and implement with intention. As the People Systems & Projects Specialist at Lila, you’ll lead cross-functional initiatives that create structure without rigidity, clarity without control. Whether it's standing up a new HRIS, refining performance and compensation processes, or creating tools that help teams thrive, you’ll be the go-to architect and project driver for people-focused operations.
This is a P3-level role, ideal for someone who’s grown within the People function and is now ready to take on broader ownership, impact, and complexity.
What You’ll Do:
🔧 Systems Implementation & Optimization
- Lead the implementation of HR technology systems (HRIS, ATS, L&D platforms, etc.), from selection through rollout and support.
- Partner with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure system integrations support a seamless employee and manager experience.
- Translate organizational needs into workflows, automations, and digital tools that scale elegantly.
📐 Project & Program Management
- Scope and drive HR projects end-to-end—whether building a compensation review process or refining onboarding experiences.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and communications across cross-functional teams.
- Identify risks and remove roadblocks early, keeping momentum without sacrificing quality.
🧠 Process Architecture
- Reimagine and optimize core People processes (e.g., performance reviews, promotions, offboarding) to be more intuitive, inclusive, and data-informed.
- Standardize what needs consistency, customize what requires nuance.
- Keep documentation crystal-clear for others to understand and adopt.
📊 People Data & Reporting
- Ensure data hygiene and accuracy across HR systems.
- Design reporting dashboards to empower decision-making at every level—from executives to hiring managers.
- Partner with People leadership to surface key metrics and insights.
🤝 Culture & Collaboration
- Work alongside HRBPs, Talent, and Operations to embed equity, empathy, and resonance into our infrastructure.
- Make sure our systems support a culture of belonging, not bureaucracy.
- Represent the People team in cross-functional conversations with clarity and confidence.
What You Bring:
✅ Experience & Impact
- You’ve had success in a people-focused role—whether that’s HR Business Partnering, People Ops, Talent Management, or similar. Maybe you built out onboarding from scratch at a startup, or drove change inside a large matrixed org. We care more about how you think and build than where you’ve done it.
🎓 Education or Equivalency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field. We welcome those who’ve taken unconventional paths—bootcamps, certifications, military experience, or self-taught systems gurus are all encouraged to apply.
🧠 HR Knowledge
- Strong grasp of core HR topics like employee relations, performance, organizational design, and compliance. You stay current on trends, and are eager to explore new frontiers—like AI-powered HR tools, flexible work design, or skills-based org models.
📈 Analytical & AI-First Mindset
- You're confident using data to drive decisions. While no coding
