Data Warehouse and Reporting Developer

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

• Definition and recommend improvement on solution design for datawarehouse solution
• Preparation of technical specification for ETL, data modelling for the datawarehouse
• Management of maintenance on the datawarehouse and ETL data flows developed
• Development and maintenance of Datawarehouse, ETL jobs and data flows
• Coordination and review of the task assigned in a good team spirit
• Reporting of progress and activities ongoing to support a good project management
• Assistance with Reporting and data scientist in the team
• Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers
• Gathering business requirements
• Design of Data Quality and Health Monitoring processes
• DB performance analysis
• Elaboration of test programs.
• Writing of technical documentation.
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Very good knowledge of on ETL tooling and methodology, with good knowledge on Clouds and market offer. Here some main technology of interest: Azure, Synapse, Denodo, KNIME
• Very good knowledge of in Database management/Datawarehouse: Oracle 11g/12c, MySQL, SQL server, PostgreSQL & PostGIS. With a good knowledge on Clouds Datawarehouse solution: Azure, AWS.
• Sufficient knowledge of Business Intelligence tooling to understand the overall BI process. The main tools adopted is so far Power BI
• Ability to handle development in one or more programming languages efficiently such as JAVA, CSS, XML/HTML, PERL/DBI/SVG and Python, Scala.
• Ability to give business and technical presentations
• Ability to apply high quality standards
• Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used and to
• Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
• Analysis and problem-solving skills
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents
• Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills

The competencies here bellow would be an asset:

• Knowledge of Data modelling and Data Architecture and tools like EA Sparks and Oracle Designer tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Platform 365 Power apps, Power Automation
• Knowledge of GIS systems to map indicators FME
• Knowledge of Project management tools as JIRA.

Due to the particular nature of the client, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects
• The consultant has to be fluent in English or French, with a minimum B2 level in the other language
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required
