Your Role:

Sr. Account Managers are responsible for achieving sales targets in an assigned territory through effective execution of business and sales strategy, overall account management, and travel to the assigned territory. 

Sr. Account Managers will create and implement campaigns, promotions, and customer training to strengthen current relationships and develop and expand new business. Responsible for managing effective business strategies, complex projects, and high-value partner relationships.   In addition to the territory responsibility, the Sr. Account Manager will act as an advisor, mentor, and specialist within the team. They will lead strategy and execution for key accounts across all territories. Travel up to 50% in the assigned territory and occasional travel to HQ, meetings, or tradeshows.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Achieve sales targets within the assigned territory
  • Prepare and implement strategic business and travel plans to drive desired activities and sales goals
  • Own complete key accounts or other business partner relationships including contract management, regulatory needs, and other activities necessary to grow the business
  • Maintain business partner communication and relationships through regular QBRs, marketing campaigns, and training.  Record all activities in company CRM and other tools designated by the manager
  • Manage internal relationships with cross-functional teams to execute necessary business strategies in shared geographies
  • Provide market intelligence updates to the team and management via monthly reports, team meetings, and other avenues as deemed necessary.  Provide territory forecast and opportunity tracking in SFDC.
  • Utilize sales analysis tools, and other available marketing and industry reference tools to manage customers, identify trends, and drive proper sales activities, business decisions & strategy
  • Compose and deliver technical and business presentations regarding Tissue Diagnostics portfolios to a broad range of audiences
  • Act as primary contact to customers, and liaison with other departments as needed to fulfill customer needs
  • Develop relationships with multiple contact points relevant to each business partner, including business manager/owner, pathologist, lab manager, technician, purchaser, etc.
  • Complete sales, marketing, and presentation projects as directed with little to no oversight.
  • Contribute to overall company performance through achievement of defined targets, strategy development, and providing input of market and product knowledge to drive future strategic initiatives
  • Work within the organization to solve customer problems, and provide solutions for future development and improvement
  • Acts as a leader and mentor among the team, with self-driven execution of team projects and best practice sharing
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose and implement solutions with limited direction

 

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business, OR HS Diploma AND relevant lab or industry experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in sales, marketing, or lab environment
  • Experience in Life Science or Healthcare industry
  • Relevant experience with managing distributors or other strategic customer relationships

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent public speaking and oral and written business and interpersonal communication skills
  • Pathology, Immunohistochemistry, and other lab disciplines
  • Microsoft Office, SFDC, sales analytics tools, webinar platforms
  • Working independently and within a team
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively among all areas and levels within the customer organization, as well as with internal colleagues
  • Strong Networking skills, and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to solve complex problems using advanced or sophisticated analytical skills
  • Sound decision-making in line with company expectations and policies
  • Prepare/Deliver polished presentations or proposals to an internal or external senior/C-Level audience
