Finxact - Senior Software Engineer

What does a successful Senior Software Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be a key contributor within the development team and build and maintain framework components across our suite of applications and services.  You will coordinate with the team as they work on different layers of the infrastructure.

What you will do:

• Develop Go application framework components that are scalable and maintainable across our enterprise 
• Translate software requirements into stable, working, high-performance software 
• Work on interesting and difficult problems 
• Develop services that interact with RDBMS and Messaging systems 
• Develop quality unit integration tests to ensure a quality product 
• Play a key role in application architecture and design of the system 

What you need to have:

• 6-10 years of hands-on software development experience: Java, JavaScript, .Net, C++
• 2+ years of Go software development experience 
• 2+ years of experience with Go standard library and frameworks: Gorilla-Mux or Chi , Gorm, Go Kit, gRPC, Protobuf
• 2+ years of experience building RESTful API fundamentals 
• 2+ years of experience designing and building Microservices 
• 2+ years of experience software version control, Preferably Git and continuous integration tools: Jenkins
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience with Event Driven Architectures & Messaging brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
