The Cardiac Sonographer performs top-notch cardiac ultrasound scans, provides observation summaries of scans, assists during invasive procedures, manages scheduling and clerical tasks, and contributes to the ultrasound call plan. They also offer guidance and support to other sonographers when needed. Our lab utilizes state of the are ultrasound equipment and provides the ability to participate in cutting edge procedures.
Position Highlights:
- Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday 8a-5p, with periodic rotation for on-call (5 weekends per year) plus one holiday per year and minimal call back.
- Sign-On Bonus: New hires are eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus.
- Relocation Assistance: Enjoy up to $3,000 in relocation expenses, provided the candidate meets distance requirements.

What You’ll Need:
- Associate Degree from an approved School of Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound Course, or Diagnostic Ultrasound program
- Valid Sonographer Registration through RDMS or RDCS or required to be registered within 1 year of hire & in Cardiology Specialties within 2 years of hire
- One or more year of experience preferred
Job Responsibilities (include but, not limited to):
- Provide echocardiogram services across various locations and schedules as needed; proficiently perform a range of scans as requested, adhering to protocols.
- Report accurate data and analyze patient records, maintain confidentiality of files, and effectively explain procedures to patients and their families, in developmentally appropriate terms.
- Participate in quality improvement exercises and evaluates technical data, implementing changes as needed to improve quality, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
- Promote a collaborative work environment within department; responsible for mentoring students and other staff members as requested.
- Operate equipment needed for procedures and perform routine cleaning & minor maintenance on equipment as needed; report malfunctions to manager.
