Summary of Job Duties:
The Executive Director of the Respiratory Therapy Program (PD) provides effective leadership and oversight of the program, with responsibilities including but not limited to curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; strategic planning and continuous improvement; internal and external communication; and fiscal and operational management of the RespiratoryCare Program in accordance with the standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), Arkansas Department of Higher Education, and the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (UAFS). The PD ensures program effectiveness through curriculum oversight, faculty coordination, continuous quality improvement, and compliance with accreditation requirements. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Health, Education, and Human Sciences.

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current license to practice (or eligibility to obtain) as a respiratory therapist in Arkansas.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as an RRT, of which at least two years include clinical resp
