Your Role:  

Working in the Contract Testing, Development, and Manufacturing Organization (CTDMO) within the Life Sciences group of MilliporeSigma, this role will serve as an individual contributor in the Process and Analytical Development organization.  The role will involve working in a lab setting on analytical method development and optimization for external customers in the field of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) or other Antibody Conjugates.  The role will require problem solving, working within project timelines, and contributing to documentation for method qualification and transfer into GMP manufacturing and quality control organizations. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the  method development efforts to deliver customer project milestones on-time and on-quality
  • Achieve positive laboratory results through a combination of personal hands-on lab work as well as overseeing the efforts of Associate and Assistant Scientists through a matrix relationship within the MilliporeSigma organization
  • Provide input to management regarding the development and implementation of new and innovative technologies
  • Understand challenges in the contract manufacturing industry and work to ensure MilliporeSigma is on the cutting edge of analytical techniques for BioOrganics and Bioanalytics
  • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge and “best-in-class” analytical technologies
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in the planning, execution, and documentation of experimental work
  • Participate as SME in project team meetings with clients
  • Use a thorough understanding of modern bioanalytical techniques to interpret the corresponding data
  • Maintain accurate and concise GLP/cGMP records

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other life science discipline with 5+ years of industrial experience 

OR

  • Master’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other life science discipline with 10+ years of industrial experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other life science discipline with 15+ years of industrial experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in analytical techniques for complex bioorganic molecules such as peptides, polysaccharides and lipids
  • 4+ years of development experience
  • 4+ years of experience with MW determining analytical methods such as SEC MALS, DLS, Viscosity, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. with 5+ years of working experience in bioanalytical method development 
  • Broad hands-on knowledge of bioanalytical techniques for the characterization of ADCs and/or other novel modalities such a LPN or nanoparticles
  • Experience in handling High-Potency APIs 
  • Scientific problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify critical issues in experimental work and to suggest possible solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as experience with advanced data analysis and/or statistical software systems
