Summary

The Senior Team Lead, Compliance is a leadership role overseeing the compliance team. This position is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The role involves leading a team to manage compliance processes effectively.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the compliance team.
  • Ensure adherence to international and local regulations governing transportation and logistics.
  • Develop and update compliance policies and procedures.
  • Communicate changes to the team and ensure understanding and implementation.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance risks.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate and manage identified risks.
  • Provide training to staff on compliance policies and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of compliance awareness throughout the organization.
  • Establish and execute a compliance monitoring program.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management.
  • Highlight areas of improvement and compliance achievements.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans for compliance issues.
  • Investigate and address compliance incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Stay abreast of changes in regulations and ensure that policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in compliance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in compliance roles within the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
