General Position Overview

This position plays a pivotal role in driving the successful launch of new products by overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the manufacturing process. This role requires a leader who has a deep understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies, exceptional project management skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for advanced manufacturing engineering to support new product launches.
• Provide leadership to the advanced manufacturing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead the manufacturing engineering efforts for new product launches from concept to production, ensuring adherence to project times and budget constraints.
• Collaborate closely with the product development team to optimize manufacturability of new products.
• Stay apprised of emerging trends and advancements in manufacturing technologies.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and automation systems to enhance efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain and quality to ensure a seamless launch process.
• Serve as a key liaison to resolve technical issues and mitigate risks during new product launches.
• Establish key performance indicators to monitor the performance of manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to address issues.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.
• Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree. Equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience required.
• Proven track record of leadership in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with new product launch management within a manufacturing environment. 
• Deep understanding of advanced manufacturing technologies including robotics and automation.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Maintain current knowledge and records of applications such as ASTM, SAE, standards associated with SoundOff Signal products.
• Ability to work cohesively with people from various departments and levels.  
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

• Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment 
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
• Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
• May work remotely
• Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
