THE OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Electronics Quality Technician-I reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations - Quality Control team.  The successful individual in this role will support StreamCaster™ MANET product development and manufacturing.

 

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic manufacturing failure troubleshooting, understanding of electronic schematics, repair, and root cause analysis.

• Initial diagnosis testing and basic repair of customer-returned units (RMA).

• Soldering and the use of common soldering equipment and standards.

• Engineering/Research and Development electromechanical support: building custom cables, electronics assemblies, and test fixtures.

• Production test station support: equipment maintenance, repair, and upgrade.

• Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in an electronics work environment. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree with a combination of experience will also be considered. 

• Advanced experience in hand soldering SMT components.

• General mechanical skills required – dis/reassemble mechanical sub-assemblies to specifications.

• Advanced knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.

• General PC skills in a Windows environment. 

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.
