The Center for Academic Development and Enrichment (CADE) serves as a central resource hub promoting excellence, engagement, professional growth, mentorship, and work-life integration. CADE is composed of three main pillars: the Office for Research Careers, the Office for Clinical Careers, and the Office for Academic Engagement and Enrichment. Each pillar encompasses several specialized divisions dedicated to faculty, trainees, and students. All initiatives are data-driven and designed to create measurable and sustainable improvements in access, opportunity, fairness, engagement, and career development.

Mass General Brigham (MGB) is a global leader in scientific and medical discovery. MGB Research comprises researchers, clinicians, staff, and trainees conducting biomedical research to improve the health of people everywhere. MGB Research is governed by the Research Oversight Committee (ROC), which is made up of MGB research leadership, department chairs, and faculty members. The committee was established to foster transparency and accountability in the decision-making process for the research enterprise and to plan new strategic initiatives for the MGB research community.

The Administrative Director for the Research Oversight Committee & Office for Research Careers is a key leadership position within the newly established MGB CADE and MGB ROC. This position reports to the Vice President of Research Strategy and Faculty Development and the Faculty Director of CADE. The Administrative Director for ROC and ORC will administratively manage: CADE Office for Research Careers, CADE Postdoctoral and Graduate Student Division, ROC Grants and Awards, and ROC Programming. The Administrative Director will lead the development and implementation of key initiatives that enhance the research environment, promote professional development, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration among research faculty and trainees. This includes managing high-profile events such as the annual MGB Celebration of Science and the MGB Postdoc Retreat, as well as supporting the governance and strategic direction of the MGB Research Oversight Committee and its subcommittees. Reporting to the Vice President for Research Strategy and Faculty Support, the Administrative Director will implement strategic initiatives developed by MGB Research senior leadership.

Essential Functions
-Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the hospital's strategic plan, aligning business development and innovation goals with the overall organizational objectives.

-Lead business development initiatives, including identifying and pursuing new revenue streams and growth opportunities.

-Foster a culture of innovation within the hospital by promoting and supporting creative thinking, idea generation, and continuous improvement.

-Oversee the execution of innovation projects, including managing timelines, resources, and budgets, while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

-Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to business development and innovation initiatives.

-Provide leadership and guidance to the business development and innovation team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

-Coordinate and delegate tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Management required or Master's Degree Business Administration and Marketing preferred or

Experience
Business Development Experience 5-7 years required and Innovation/Fundraising Experience 3-5 years required and Supervisory Experience; experience in managing and developing a team. 3-5 years required
