Title and Summary
Director, Finance Business PartnerOverview:• The financial business partner supports Mastercard’s development and engineering organization within the Product and Engineering (P&E) business unit
• P&E Engineering Finance Leader will have program responsibilities for budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting.
• P&E Engineering Finance Leader will drive aspects of day-to-day activities in support of financial reporting, monthly variance, and ad hoc requests.
• P&E Engineering Finance Leader will also develop relationships with divisional business partners, executives, and regions and will provide direction and oversight to work of other finance team members.
• This role will also have a significant role in business case development and analysis for M&A integrations as well as for projects.

Role:
• Manage all aspects of the day-to-day of programs with business financial functions such as budget and forecast processes and including financial reporting, analysis and achieving spending targets
• Support the business by identifying financial risks and opportunities
• Interact on a regular basis with P&E executives, in a highly visible role
• Review the development of cost models to justify projects, identify savings and improve financial performance
• Provide analysis, modeling, and business case support for your programs to management and their teams, including:
- Project and maintenance labor analysis
- Ad hoc analysis to identify budget & forecast variance drivers
- Collaborate with peer leaders to lead process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and timeliness
- M&A integrations
- Provide oversight to and direct work activities of other P&E Engineering finance staff; lead project teams to support process improvement or other ad hoc initiatives
• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches talent within own team
All About You:
• Background in IT financial management and accounting considered beneficial
• Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial analysis role
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) or professional certification (CMA, CPA) is a plus
•Business Financial planning and analysis experience with progressively increasing responsibility
• Able to influence and drive effective decision making
• Must be comfortable working with ambiguous processes in a fluid environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact, communicate and navigate effectively within executive P&E and Finance management
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work with complex, multi-faceted issues
• Ability to perform successfully in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and manage multiple priorities and assignments concurrently
• Desired managerial experience supervising staff, leading teams and/or participating on cross-functional teams and initiatives in a key leadership role
