About you and this role:
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Work Activity Coordinator Lead located in Plaquemine, Louisiana. This role has the primary responsibility for ensuring maintenance work is carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. The individual in this role is responsible for the productivity of the team that performs the task. This role requires broad technical experience in the execution of industrial maintenance tasks in order to lead execution of complex work assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews weekly schedule and job packages for completeness and assigns resources to complete the work. Reevaluates priorities to reassign resources when barriers are identified and communicates effectively with partners and stakeholders to drive removal of barriers.
- Communicates with activity coordinator/gatekeeper to reassess priorities and reallocate resources when unplanned tasks develop during the week.
- Communicates effectively with service providers to maintain productivity and quality.
- Reviews completed job packages for completeness and assures quality of field work by performing regular audits.
- Performs field audits to assure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy
- Provides coaching to department personnel and service providers when job packages are incomplete or tasks do not meet quality standards. Provides feedback to department leadership and contract management when coaching is not effective.
- Owns the weekly safety tailgate meeting for area maintenance technicians and nested contractors.
- Acts as maintenance focal point for department led maintenance activities in their area of responsibility per the “LAO TES Maintenance Focal Point Policy” to ensure that all jobs utilizing a contractor are completed safely and productively.
- For high priority unplanned work, acts as planner and completes planner responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with area maintenance team and department leadership to keep high impact work on track and keeps team and leadership informed of unplanned high impact jobs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance or operations role.
- Individual must be willing to take call during the week and on some weekends.
- Willing and able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.

- Must have valid, current US Driver's license.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Skills:
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) and/or 4+ years of relevant Military training
- 5 or more years maintenance field planning or craft foreman experience.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:

- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Stand 50% of the time.
- Walk for extended periods of time
- Work at heights, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Work in tight and closed in spaces.
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
- Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
- Work in an area with hazardous materials
- This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
