POSITION SUMMARY:World Relief seeks Digital Communications Specialist for the Chicagoland office that will provide timely communication, information, and service opportunities across social media and other digital communication platforms to program participants and the immigrant community throughout Chicagoland.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until June 30, 2026, and contingent upon funding extension.

POSITION SUMMARY:World Relief seeks Digital Communications Specialist for the Chicagoland office that will provide timely communication, information, and service opportunities across social media and other digital communication platforms to program participants and the immigrant community throughout Chicagoland.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a strategy for routine communications across participant-facing social media platforms, other communication platforms, and client-centered portion of World Relief Chicagoland’s website.
- Collaborate with program staff for accuracy of information to program participants, clients, and immigrant community
- Review content, coordinate translation as necessary
- Design and execute digital media posts
- Monitor client-facing social media channels
- Ensure web content is up to date and accurate
- Monitor and provide analysis for content engagement
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple teams
- Able to prioritize, follow through on multiple tasks, work independently and meet deadlines
- Great lengths of time working on a computer and reading from a computer screen
- High school diploma
- Must be competent in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), digital communications (WhatsApp), MS Office, graphic design platforms (Canva), and WordPress
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience in digital communications
- Lived experience that aligns with the communities we serve, including but not limited to immigrant or refugee backgrounds, is preferred
- Bi-lingual preferred
