Our partner is looking for a Sr. Analyst, Global Fixed Broadband FP&A in Carlsbad, CA.
As Sr. Analyst, Global Fixed Broadband FP&A you will play a critical role in the financial management of the global fixed broadband business unit. This is a critical and highly visible position, requiring extensive experience in financial modeling of strategic growth opportunities.
Working as an internal consultant on our dynamic finance and management teams, you will develop financial forecasts, budgets and operating plans. You will also have the opportunity to lead the financial analysis team through critical projects, business initiatives and strategy development.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate business unit forecasts and results from Americas, EMEA and APAC regions for segment president and finance leadership on monthly/quarterly basis
- Assist in coordination of long-term strategic planning, annual budgeting and quarterly forecast processes working closely with the Segment Finance VP and finance leads for businesses within the Services Segment
- Analyze and report customer lifetime value and bandwidth yield estimates across all geographies to ensure optimal profitability of satellite investments
- Manage global customer premise equipment cost estimates and update all regions and countries on changes in cost forecasts
- Develop and maintain satellite NPV and IRR models; ensure accurate and timely incorporation of changes in regional and local forecasts
- Assist regional finance teams on revenue and cost management strategies and special projects, as needed
- Lead initiatives to drive process and financial systems transformation within the Services Segment in conjunction with country & regional leads as a key member of cross-functional and cross-segment teams
Requirements
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years progressive experience in finance, accounting or related positions
- Direct experience building company or business unit financial statement models (revenue, expenses and cash flows) to support growth strategies, strategic partnerships and/or M&A
- Experience developing and presenting executive-level presentations in PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel and database skills, with experience in building complex financial models and working with large data sets in Excel/Access/Alteryx/Tableau/Power BI, etc.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones, travel up to 10%, may include international
- Natural curiosity and innate ability to challenge the status quo
- Diligent, highly accurate and pays extreme attention to detail; strong quantitative skills
- Flexibility to manage ambiguity and to adapt to changes in priorities
Preferences
- Experience in telecommunications, cable, satellite or other subscription service industry
- Public / multinational company work experience
- Exposure to international accounting and consolidations
- MBA and/or advanced certifications (CPA, CFA, etc.)
- Experience working with financial and forecast/budget software applications (Hyperion Planning/Essbase); Oracle and/or SAP experience desired
