Job Details:

Purpose

To provide technical and organizational support for laboratory research on the nutrigenomics of intestinal vitamin D action. This position will: manage animal experiments, organize research activities in the lab (including ordering supplies), conduct biological sample analysis.

The position will end 4/30/2025, with the potential of extension based on performance and funding.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare for experiments under supervision

• Manage animal experiment using basic husbandry skills

• Conduct analysis of tissues and cell samples using standard tools of cell and molecular biology (e.g. PCR analysis of DNA or RNA, Western blot analysis, ELISA)

• Order supplies and maintain a record of those orders

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a biological science major (e.g. biology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, nutritional sciences, physiology). Some work experience in a biological and biomedical research lab. This experience can be as an undergraduate volunteer or paid hourly employee.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year of prior full-time work experience in a biological or biomedical research lab.

Salary Range

$40,560+ depending on qualifications
