Job Details:
Purpose
To provide technical and organizational support for laboratory research on the nutrigenomics of intestinal vitamin D action. This position will: manage animal experiments, organize research activities in the lab (including ordering supplies), conduct biological sample analysis.
The position will end 4/30/2025, with the potential of extension based on performance and funding.
Responsibilities
Organize and prepare for experiments under supervision
Manage animal experiment using basic husbandry skills
Conduct analysis of tissues and cell samples using standard tools of cell and molecular biology (e.g. PCR analysis of DNA or RNA, Western blot analysis, ELISA)
Order supplies and maintain a record of those orders
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a biological science major (e.g. biology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, nutritional sciences, physiology). Some work experience in a biological and biomedical research lab. This experience can be as an undergraduate volunteer or paid hourly employee.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of prior full-time work experience in a biological or biomedical research lab.
Salary Range
$40,560+ depending on qualifications
