In this position you will provide technical and project support for Ames Research Center Facilities Engineering and Real Property Branch. Responsible for understanding contractor/civil servant protocols and representing the company and the NASA task customer. Duties include technical and project reviews, employee on-boarding, Process Service Requests (SR’s) and visitor/contractor badging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Construction Specifications - Proficient with using SPECSINTACT software to generate and edit construction specifications for CoF and various facility projects. Proficient with editing the Ames Local Master Specification (ALMS).
- Contractor and visitor badging specialists. Proficient in processing Contractor’s and visitor’s badging process via Ames’ IDMAX system. Coordinate and monitor badge expiration dates/extensions to align with Contract Specialist’s Contract Agreement requirements. Terminate badge upon expiration date and perform employee check out.
- CoF projects Updates/Reports Facilitator. Prepare monthly and quarterly CoF updates/reports for the JCE branch and distribute updates/reports to stakeholders and HQ.
- Service Request Processing Specialist. Process incoming Service Requests (SRs) for the JCE branch. Proficient in using 4D software and assigning task specific JCE service request task log numbers.
- Archive and maintain CoF documentations, branch Satern training completion certificates and safety requirement documents for the JCE staff.
- Maintain Facilities Engineering branch internal calendar of events and action items.
- Record and distribute minutes of weekly JCE branch meetings.
- Assist JCE staff with annual JCE branch VPP Safety Inspection and monthly safety inspection. Follow up with Safety (Code Q) on the outstanding items from the Safety Inspection check list to ensure all outstanding items are reported and corrected.
- Assist with coordinating new employee’s on-boarding process, office supplies and furniture, keys, phone, and IT requirements.
- Perform other administrative duties as required, including technical reviews, project reviews, mail distribution, copy machine custodian, branch event/partnering/training
- Responsible for performing task requirements as stated in the Performance Requirements Summary of the relevant Task Order.
- Responsible for understanding contractor/civil servant protocols and representing the company and the NASA task customer in a professional and excellent manner.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with coworkers, NASA task customers and the customers of the organizations.
Required Education/Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience. Excellent written and verbal skills. Proficient in computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
Required Skills/Training:
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, MS Excel Spreadsheet, 4D, MS PowerPoint and SpecsIntact software.
- Excellent written i.e. Technical Writer and oral communication, including preparing and presenting information (emails, reports, PowerPoint presentations to an audience of decision makers).
Desired:
Familiarization with Ames Research Center (ARC) NASA Task customer and organizations.
Basic Compensation:
$30.75/h - $42.00/h
This range is for the Mountain View, California area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
