The Acute Behavioral Service Manager (ABSM) is responsible for providing leadership and management of Dungarvin’s Acute Behavior Services.  Under the supervision of the director, the ABSM focuses on achieving quality programs for individuals with significant behavioral and mental health needs.  This position supervises a team of mental health program directors that has oversight responsibilities for the program staff.

Job Description

The Acute Behavioral Service Manager (ABSM) is responsible for providing leadership and management of Dungarvin’s Acute Behavior Services.  Under the supervision of the director, the ABSM focuses on achieving quality programs for individuals with significant behavioral and mental health needs.  This position supervises a team of mental health program directors that has oversight responsibilities for the program staff.

Qualifications

The ABSM must meet the requirements of a qualified professional, based on four-year degree in a related field, experience, and abilities. Prior experience in developing and implementing individual programs, budget implementation, and in supervising others is required. Must have good decision-making, time management, and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible. Must processes good communication skills both spoken and written.  Must be able to work as part of a collaborative team in a variety of settings.

Additional Information

Hours: 

Full-time.  The ABSM schedule must be flexible to accommodate various program, personnel, and organizational needs including after hour weekend emergencies and phone calls.
