Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Quick-Commerce Global Services team in Barcelona to support the Delivery Hero Group's ecosystem with unique technologies.

Your Mission
In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to combine Glovo's vibrant, fast-paced culture with the reach and complexity of the Delivery Hero Group, one of the world's largest local delivery platforms. You'll be part of a Central Team based in Barcelona, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions that support the entire global ecosystem of the Group.

• You will work on our next-generation platform to not only provide groceries for our hungry customers but also other daily urgent needs like drinks, fruits, snacks but also batteries. 

• You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering leaders, and leadership across Q-Commerce.

• Troubleshoot issues, Identify complex problems and analyze potential solutions including workarounds as well as provide timely fixes.

• Identify opportunities for our non-integrated vendors based on the available data. Raise missing data points that could benefit our partners. 

• Generate an automatic framework for providing insights 

• You will work in a goal-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines, reliable data models, and analytics solutions that will be shared with our partners. 

• Hands-on experience with at least one data visualization tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau).

• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts. Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) required. 

• Monitor and optimize data pipelines, queries, and database performance to ensure high availability and low latency.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with stakeholders to understand business needs. 

• Working knowledge of python, or Java.

• Define classification models based on the partners data analysis.

• You believe in cross-functional teams and know that responsibility does not end with release of a feature.

• Ability to extract and communicate business insights clearly and effectively.

• Fluent English communication skills.
