Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and trend-driven Senior Designer, Intimates to help shape the future of our intimate apparel and sleepwear collections. This role is responsible for driving creative vision, product innovation, and design execution across both branded and private label businesses, translating consumer insights and market trends into compelling products that resonate with customers and elevate our brands.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional design talent with strong commercial acumen, bringing a deep understanding of intimates and sleepwear categories, consumer behavior, and emerging industry trends. As a key member of the design team, you will influence product direction from initial concept through final execution, creating collections that are innovative, brand-right, and commercially successful.
Working cross-functionally with Product Development, Technical Design, Sourcing, Production, Sales, Packaging, and external partners, you will bring ideas to life while balancing creativity, quality, cost, and speed to market. Responsibilities
- Drive the creative vision, design strategy, and product development execution for branded and private label intimate apparel and sleepwear collections.
- Identify emerging consumer, fashion, color, fabric, and lifestyle trends, translating insights into innovative and commercially successful products.
- Leverage AI-powered and digital design tools to accelerate concept development, trend research, product ideation, and creative storytelling.
- Create compelling seasonal concepts, trend presentations, color palettes, mood boards, and line plans that support brand growth and customer engagement.
- Partner closely with Product Development, Technical Design, CAD, Sourcing, Sales, and Production teams to bring products from concept to market with speed, quality, and precision.
- Collaborate with vendors, factories, and material suppliers to source new fabrics, trims, and technologies that enhance product performance, aesthetics, and value.
- Balance creativity with commercial objectives by managing product costing, material selections, and design decisions to achieve margin and business goals.
- Develop strategic product assortments and identify whitespace opportunities that drive category growth across branded and private label businesses.
- Present seasonal concepts, product strategies, and trend direction to internal stakeholders, retail partners, and customers, serving as a trusted design expert and brand ambassador.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of design experience in intimate apparel and/or sleepwear, including bras, panties, loungewear, and sleepwear categories.
- Proven experience designing for both branded and private label businesses.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, trims, and product development processes.
- Experience with Centric PLM or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience utilizing AI-powered design, trend forecasting, research, and productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, WGSN AI, or similar) to enhance creativity, efficiency, and innovation.
- Strong knowledge of fashion, consumer, and marketplace trends within the intimates and sleepwear categories.
