Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst for its Huntsville, Alabama location.

  • Roles and responsibilities include:

    • Perform assessments an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for DoD collateral information systems that support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) program and identify where those systems and their components deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
    • Execute continuous monitoring of all applicable controls for assigned systems and reports results to the ISSM.
    • Aid in establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification test, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and routine user activity audits.
    • Assist the ISSM in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DAAPM, RMF), make recommendations on process tailoring, and participate in and document process activities.
    • Document the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and technical or coordination activity and prepare the system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M in the eMASS application. Periodically conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed.

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience with ISSO SOW; an additional four years of experience and/or education can be substituted for the degree
    • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered 
    • Must have a Security+ (or greater) certification
    • Familiarity with ATO process through DCSA
    • Working knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 4, and DAAPM
    • Experience with SIEM/Log reduction tools such as Splunk and ELK
    • Experience with DISA STIGs and compliance tools

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Nessus/Tenable.sc
    • Security X (CASP), CISSP, or CISM
    • Experience with RHEL 7, 8, 9 and other Linux-based distros
    • Experience with JIRA
    • Experience with ESXi and virtualization

    Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
