Software Engineer Intern (Year-Round, Part-Time)

Applied Materials’ IPC Department is searching for an intern to join our team! The intern will work 20 hours per week during the schoolyear and 40 hours per week over the summer months. We are seeking a Software Automation Engineer to join our growing team and participate in the SW DevOps development. The successful candidate will help drive our software Tools and DevOps automation development. The position will entail the following:

• Contribution to the SW Tools automation and DevOps for the Display Flexible Technologies
• Development of microservices for Jira and Confluence.
• Plug-in development to integrate different software services into Jira/Confluence
• Analysis of workflow and directions for process and product improvement

Requirements

• Student must be pursuing a Master’s degree program in Computer Science & Engineering or a related field
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
• Experience in Java, C or Python
• Excellent communication and process documentation skills for developing SW libraries, Micro services and plug-ins.

Compensation$41 per hourThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
