About the Position:As SUD/AOD Counselor II you will support the community by delivering face-to-face rehabilitative programming services provided in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP).
What You Will Do:
- Deliver treatment programming services to participants and conduct group and/or individual sessions.
- Effectively implement scheduled program curriculum as required by contract. Leads and participates in face-to-face group and individual meetings utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic processes.
- Engage participants daily, reinforce group rules and expectation for participation and completion.
- Works directly with participants to develop and implement treatment/action plans and educate participants about supportive networks as they return to the community.
- Review treatment plans, evaluate and record treatment progress, records visible changes in appearance, behavior and demeanor of program participants.
- Maintains accurate, timely, and confidential participant records. Evaluates and documents the progress of participants assigned to their groups.
- Completes all delivery documentation requirements per contractual obligations in ARMS. Summarizes participants’ background, treatment plan, and recovery process outcomes.
- Prepares accurate, concise, informative reports, records and plans that are consistent with Amity standards, and complies with applicable clinical and administrative rules.
- Liaise with transition/reentry staff, plans and prepares transitional documents as directed by CDCR for continued community program activities.
- Works collaboratively with CDCR, DRP, CCHCS and institution staff. Supports and collaborates co-faculty, including but not limited to Supervisors, Directors and Regional Directors.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
- Counselor II must meet one (1) of the following minimum requirements:
- A Master’s Degree or above in a social service-related field; and lic
