About the role

The Senior Manager of US Corporate Communications will help tailor the overall Haleon narrative for US audiences, advancing and defending the corporate brand and reputation, while establishing our position within our CPG peer set in the US.

Role Responsibilities

  • Position Haleon as industry leaders to drive awareness and relevancy with consumers.

  • Ensure US communication strategy is consistent and reflects the overall Haleon strategic vision.

  • Support the development of and lead implementation of strategy for above-brand earned campaigns that build and enhance our reputation across the US.

  • Support the development of and lead implementation of executive visibility strategies that highlight and promote the Haleon narrative.

  • Build and maintain a network of employee advocates to advance our external positioning plans.

  • Collaborate with Global Communications to deliver relevant and timely content for Haleon’s social media channels.

  • Identify and manage local business and social issues which may have an impact on Haleon or our brands’ reputations, developing proactive and reactive messaging to mitigate potential issues.

  • Develop and implement crisis management plans as needed.

  • Manage and build relationships with key US media.

  • Manage agency relationships and deliver campaigns with sound investment and measurement standards.

  • Maintain an understanding of industry and media trends affecting our business and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategies.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related course of study.

  • 7-10 years corporate and/or brand integrated communications experience

  • Passionate storyteller with in-depth, demonstrated expertise of the media landscape, able to proactively identify and tell unique narratives that support communications objectives.

  • Deep media relations experience.

  • Experience in issues management and crisis communications.

  • Experience building, managing, and evaluating earned budgets.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Social media savvy.

  • Strong expertise, experience and confidence to plan, counsel on and deliver communications to manage or mitigate issues and their associated reputational impact.

  • Strong strategic thinking, execution and overall business acumen. Must demonstrate sound judgment and be able to deal with ambiguity and handle sensitive situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively under pressure.

  • Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges.

  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization, across cultures and teams of geographically dispersed people with strong ability to prioritizes

  • Highly collaborative and able to build trust with internal partners across different departments across the company.

  • Proven ability to develop trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders, ability to influence people and work with top management.

  • Strong capability in managing changing business environment and ambiguity.

Location: This role is hybrid based in Warren, NJ.
