Job Description

In Visa’s Commercial & Money Movement (CMSPD) division, we work on technology products that have a big impact on the of businesses across the world. We are building Technology Solutions & Platform that will enable fast and ubiquitous VAS (Value added services) to assist in Cross Wallet across a range of domestic and cross border use cases aiming to capture significant revenue opportunity across P2P, B2B, and B2C flows and other value-added services. Built on the latest standards/tech stack and providing REST APIs, this platform will help drive innovation in the entire ecosystem.

Essential Functions:

• Works alongside others to implement modifications to existing software code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices.
• Assists with improvements to systems and tools and supports development and implementation of new automation, asking questions as necessary.
• Engages with team members and manager during code/design reviews, participates in on-call rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.
• Leverages working knowledge of systems/platforms and telemetry analyses to identify basic issues in code, processes, and designs when they are inconsistent with customer/business objectives.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• OR
• Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum two (2) years of experience in a directly related field.
• OR
• Minimum five (5) years of directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Must have a good understanding of building scalable and highly performant systems
• Self-motivated and drive for excellence, must love coding – hands-on technical skills
• Development experience in web-related technologies such as Web Services in REST, as per REST Principles.
• Experience with Java8, Java17, Spring Boot, Core Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, Hibernate/JPA, JDBC, XSD, JAX-RS, JAX-WS, Tomcat, Oracle/MySQL, MongoDB
• Experiences with the entire software development lifecycle including version control using Git, build process, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes containerization, Functional testing framework, and code release.
• Experience with Agile and Test-driven development methodologies.
• Must have a strong Java background and a passion to learn new software technologies.
