THE JOB
As our Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for building and overseeing the operational framework of our U.S. chain stores. This role goes beyond daily store management—you will design and implement scalable systems, ensure compliance, manage cross-functional processes, and support future expansion. Your background in U.S. chain operations will be essential in adapting best practices to our business model while ensuring consistent brand standards across all locations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all store operations.
- Build performance monitoring systems (KPIs, audit tools, reporting dashboards) to ensure consistency and efficiency across stores.
- Oversee supply chain, vendor management, and logistics to ensure cost-effective and timely product availability.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. retail regulations, including labor, safety, and consumer protection laws.
- Lead the training and development of store management teams, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and tools to deliver operational excellence.
- Manage budgets, monitor P&L for store operations, and identify opportunities to optimize profitability.
- Partner with Marketing, HR, and Finance to align operations with overall business goals.
- Drive expansion projects, including new store setup, location evaluation, and operational readiness.
- Act as the primary liaison between corporate leadership and frontline operations, providing insights and solutions.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Brings proven experience managing operations for U.S. chain stores (multi-unit or regional management background required).
- Strategic thinker who can design systems but also hands-on in execution.
- Strong business acumen, capable of balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Experienced in scaling operations and supporting new store rollouts.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in U.S. retail or chain store operations, with at least 3 years in a regional or corporate-level role.
- Strong knowledge of retail P&L, compliance, supply chain, and operational KPIs.
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations from single-unit to multi-unit environments.
- Familiarity with U.S. labor law, OSHA standards, and retail compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field preferred. MBA a plus.
- Bilingual English/Mandarin a plus, but not required.
