Operations Digital Transformation Senior Specialist

The Operations Digital Transformation Senior Specialist is responsible for driving and overseeing digital transformation initiatives across Alfasigma Operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital tools, process optimization, and change management, with an in-depth understanding of the pharma industry’s operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

He/she will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and sustain digital solutions that enhance efficiency, drive operational excellence, and ensure compliance, and will report to the Operations Shared Service Center Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of digital transformation strategies within operations, focusing on areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, quality control and procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new digital tools and solutions with existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Use data analytics and AI models to improve decision-making processes, driving improvements in areas such as demand forecasting, production planning, and predictive maintenance.
• Ensure full compliance with pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP, GxP) through the digitalization of validation processes and the implementation of tools that ensure data integrity.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for digital transformation initiatives, from initial scoping to execution and performance monitoring.
• Work closely with IT, data science, and operations teams to integrate systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) with real-time operational data.
• Act as a change leader, driving cultural shifts toward digital literacy and championing innovation across the organization.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and prioritize digital transformation opportunities that align with business objectives.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve digital capabilities and maintain a competitive edge.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in digital transformation, operations management, or process improvement within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in driving digital transformation projects in pharma operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality control and procurement.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance (FDA, GMP, GxP) and industry best practices in pharma operations.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere).
