The position is located in Columbus, Ohio, and includes a hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration. Current Nationwide associates working remotely will also be considered.

We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader with deep Guidewire PolicyCenter expertise and a passion for delivering meaningful business outcomes.
Key Focus Areas
Expert-level experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (Configuration, Integration, and Digital Edge APIs)
Strong technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and guiding multiple agile teams toward consistent, high-quality delivery
Proven success implementing AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities to improve automation, insight, and customer experience
Ability to architect and engineer across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), SaaS, and CI/CD environments
Commitment to DevSecOps practices, secure coding, and proactive application health management
Preferred: ACE Certification in Guidewire PolicyCenter 10.0 or higher.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
Mentors and trains others on design techniques, tools and coding standards.
Executes and provides strategic advice on using technology to achieve goals.
Drives cross-collaboration and execution of projects across multiple teams.
Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards and best practices.
Champions the use of DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
Drives continuous learning and improvement through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
Works across organizations and product areas to drive joint technical roadmaps.
Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Director or above.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree.
