What kind of projects will I work on? Join our team and work on a modern tech stack to deliver web sites, logged-in web portals, and web (and occasionally mobile) applications that are cutting edge visually, functionally, and architecturally. Some tech that you should expect to know/use at XTIVIA: Liferay DXP, Java, OSGi, React.js (and sometimes Angular), Bootstrap (and sometimes Tailwind CSS, MUI), APIs (GraphQL, REST, Serverless Functions), Cloud (AWS, Azure), and more. You may also work with Headless CMS (Contentful, Strapi), Next.js, Gatsby. 

Is this position a contract or full-time? This is a full-time, salaried remote development position with a competitive compensation/benefits package (including profit sharing and productivity bonus plans). MUST reside in the US. No C2C.

Requirements

What you bring to your new team  

Requirements:

1. Ability and desire to work in all aspects of application delivery including requirements, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
2. 10+ years of software experience
3. 5+ years of experience with server-side Java
4. 3+ years of experience with Liferay DXP 
5. Expert level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript with at least 3 years of experience in designing and developing modern web applications using React/Angular/JavaScript
6. Must have 5+ years of experience consuming RESTful/GraphQL web services
7. Must have 2+ years of experience building RESTful/GraphQL web services and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
8. Experience with OAuth, OpenID, JWT, SAML, SSO
9. Strong expertise in core Liferay features including Liferay content management, personalization, OSGi
10. Strong knowledge of styling Liferay sites/applications using Liferay themes, style books, master pages, Bootstrap and building responsive layouts
11. Experience with various DevOps and Cloud technologies including Docker, Git, Jenkins, AWS/Azure, and ideally Liferay DXP Cloud (PaaS, SaaS)
12. Experience building and delivering Liferay-based websites and logged-in user experiences 
13. Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug complex coding scenarios/defects across the entire stack
14. Experience in mentoring more junior developers in coding best practices 
15. Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions with clients and fellow team members
