Meet the team:
Dexcom is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer, Audio Visual, that will become the liaison between IT Core Services and Facilities, and will lead the responsibilities for AV system, design standards, installations, and support across multiple global locations. This role requires a visionary engineer who can oversee complex AV projects, manage cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure high-performance AV solutions that align with the company’s evolving needs.
Where you come in:
- As the IT department’s primary Point of Contact for AV systems, you will collaborate with our global AV vendor and the Dexcom Facilities department to drive innovation, optimize existing systems, maximize system uptime and ensure the seamless integration of AV technology into Dexcom's business.
What makes you successful:
- In collaboration with Dexcom Facilities, define and document the Engineering Standards and Architecture for AV including data and power provision and cabling, AV room design and materials of construction for acoustics, etc.
- In collaboration with Dexcom Facilities and global AV vendor, develop AV designs for new offices and existing office upgrades ensuring that both IT & Facilities components are communicated appropriately to project teams.
- Provide high priority Troubleshooting/break-fix/setup/event support service to high profile Dexcom San Diego locations and events.
- In collaboration with Dexcom Facilities, monitor AV vendor performance against their SLA, to continually improve service, including planning, technical issue and service feedback escalations and communications.
- Be a key stakeholder for new AV buildouts, being a member of the planning team, attending all related meetings, and managing the project components related to AV. Ensure the AV vendor meets the requested milestones by the project timelines.
- Establish regional incidental budget for AV support outside vendor contract obligations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in AV systems design, integration, and support. Demonstrated leadership of internal and external AV engineers. Expertise in AV technologies, including video conferencing systems (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), sound systems, projectors, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron) Strong background in AV integration with IT networks, including IP-based AV solutions. Proven experience managing AV projects, including budgeting and vendor management Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Work Environment:
Ability to travel to Dexcom’s global locations/offices for project management, installation, and maintenance as required Ability to manage on-site and remote AV teams effectively
