Responsible for:
- Manage, review performance and drive team to exceed goals/targets of his teams:
- Ops teams (Sr. OPS Director team covering 36 countries and ECSA team covering 4 countries)
- ILS team
- Develop ops strategy for the Region to achieve group objectives:
- continuously monitor and take actions to reduce OPEX per TEU
- build contingency plans together with Lines, Fleet and Security
- Benchmarking competition Ops strategy
- Review, adjust and follow up agencies’ organizational structure and performance related to operations and ILS (assess staff quality, impart training needs etc.)
- Manage close cooperation with all Functional Depts (Procurement, Trade, Sales, Security) teams in identifying potential opportunities and negotiation channels.
- Manage key external stakeholders (Ports, Terminals, Authorities, ACP) in the region and make periodical visits to the Ports / Terminals / Vessels
- Involvement in all potential investment opportunities
- Coordinate crisis management within the area of responsibility.
Skills, knowledge and abilities required
- Bilingual/English Spanish
- Strategic vision
- Network/Agency understanding
- Understanding/focus of OPEX
- Extensive experience in Ports/Terminals Management
- Minimum 15-20 years of Maritime Industry Experience
