Director of Purchasing

 

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Director of Purchasing. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind strategic sourcing and supply chain excellence, ensuring our expansive resort operations—from America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks to our world-class restaurants and convention centers—run seamlessly and efficiently.

 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll bring your expertise to a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your leadership will shape the quality, consistency, and creativity behind one of the most iconic destination resorts in the country.

 

The anticipated hire date for this position is Spring 2026.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and procurement plans
• Oversee inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Collaborate with department leaders to forecast and fulfill needs
• Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and quality standards
• Lead and develop a high-performing shipping and receiving team
• Support seamless operations across resort departments (F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.)

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

• Minimum 5 years in a management position in the related fields of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and vendor negotiation
• Background in hospitality, food & beverage, or large-scale operations is preferred
• Experience managing multi-department procurement (e.g., F&B, housekeeping, maintenance)
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software
