POSITION PURPOSE:

Ensure the project complies with environmental federal, state, and base regulations and standards. Work closely with government agencies and organizations to obtain the necessary permits and ensure the project is adhering to environmental laws. Conduct site assessments and inspections as necessary to ensure the project is meeting applicable regulations. Interact with regulatory specialists, clients, design engineers, and contractors to coordinate environmental compliance. Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables and the desire to produce good quality products

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, schedules, and budgets in conformance with the project and customer requirements.
  • Research codes, guidance, policies, procedures, processes, criteria, and federal laws and regulations in order to provide sound technical recommendations in writing.
  • Apply innovative technical principles, practices, and theories to the resolution of technical issues.
  • Perform field investigations, including the review of site conditions, to determine existing conditions, document findings, and provide a report to include written summary of observations, data collected, and photographs.
  • Coordinate with client, team members, leadership, project stakeholders, and various regulatory agencies.
  • Review technical reports, RFIs, designs, design changes for both design-build and design-bid-build projects, project deliverables, submittals, cost proposals from contractors, etc., to ensure compliance with customer and RFP requirements.
  • Provide technical support for the review of the design and construction submittals and field inspections.
  • Provide technical support for construction field activities.
  • Prepare various permit applications and assist with report writing.
  • Documenting all project communications.
  • Participate in site field investigations and client / user interviews to identify project needs, constraints and opportunities.
  • Use computer programs and spread sheets for engineering analysis and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Engineering college curriculum.
  • Minimum 10 years design experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports and in briefing management personnel.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Have demonstrated knowledge of broad-based Engineering and Environmental principles.
  • Sound understanding of environmental technical concepts, principles, and practices applicable to design and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and verbal
