The Controlled Investigation Unit delivers customized analyst services related to pattern analysis, device geolocation, and data science directly to government customers working in sensitive segments of Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Law Enforcement.
About the Capability
LNSSI Pattern Analysis is a unique adaptation of law enforcement crime series analysis and mobile device geolocation investigative analysis applied against events indicative of nefarious activity in counterterrorism, trafficking, fugitive recovery, and national security concerns. Pattern Analysts examine spatial, temporal, and predatory behavioral elements in data to identify repeated and predictable patterns of criminal and/or previously unknown actors and activity core to mission success. They deliver actionable findings to operational customers to interdict bad actors, defeat threats, optimize force protection, and dismantle criminal networks.
About the Role:
LexisNexis Special Services Inc. (LNSSI) a leader in providing advanced information solutions to the Federal Government, seeks a self-motivated and highly organized Identity Data Analyst to support one or more customers.
As an Identity Data Analyst, you will work with cutting edge software, perform due diligence, provide report analysis, and work with customers, engineers, and operational staff in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. Candidates are expected to possess strong organization, communication, and computer skills.
This position requires the individual to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the field. Candidates must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, co-workers, and LNSSI management on their analysis.
Successful candidates must be able to document experience working with multidisciplinary operations, analytic, or intelligence teams in law enforcement, the military, or the federal government.

Responsibilities
- Rigorously investigate, interpret, and deliver meaningful intelligence from relevant data sources
- Rapidly responds to changing circumstances and requirements, while prioritizing tasks to optimize efficiency
- Prepare and deliver impactful professional solutions tailored to the needs of the customer
- Effectively leverage an understanding of customer's needs, challenges, and risks to ensure optimal solutions are designed and delivered
- Actively collaborate with internal stakeholders to assist with strategic planning and future solution development
- Make empowered, timely decisions based on facts, circumstances, and customer needs.
- Maintain and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding of both internal and external data.
- Proactively support co-workers and management in building relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders to drive service solutions and positive business outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers on best practices, procedures, and techniques to actively drive customer advocacy
- Provide concise, timely, and business-appropriate communication protocols to key internal stakeholders and external customers
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance, Top Secret with SCI eligibility preferred
- Must possess strong analytical, organization, and communication (written and oral) skills
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working as an employee or contractor with a government agency
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/time in service
- Ability to follow governmental contracting protocols
- Understanding of public records and what they consist of
- General understanding of Personal, Business, and/or Governmental data
- Basic knowledge of LexisNexis products (preferred)
