Accounting Manager, LE Automation Shared Services

 

Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the process implementations of the shared resource group for Lincoln Electric Automation.  The person in the position must have an extensive and proven financial and accounting background to ensure compliance with all the rules and regulations issued by Federal, State and local government.  This position has contact with the Global Automation Controller and Lincoln Electric Automation group purchasing and finance departments, customers, and vendors.  The major challenges to this position are coordinating the objectives of shared services with the individual automation companies, which may include conflicting demands of the customers and vendors; maintaining a high quality and cost effective professional organization; maintaining high staff morale and developing a system to identify and resolve internal problems.  This position also protects the best interests of shared resources, as well as, all companies involved in the shared service.  This person will have to be hands on while helping to develop shared services.  This person has the authority to recommend financial policies and procedures  Decisions with purchases of services, purchases of equipment; overall annual financial budget for shared services; all lease arrangements; and major policy changes will follow the approval requirements in accordance with Corporate Policies.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilites

 

  • Work in coordination with management to establish, maintain and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles in accordance with Lincoln standards including Corporate Policies and Procedures (U.S. GAAP), Corporate Reporting Standards, and Internal Controls (Sarbanes Oxley)
  • Leads new process implementations and new sites participating in shared services
  • Support SSC process integration of acquired business
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and transactions
  • Maintains, develops, and communicates KPI’s for the group
  • Reviews accounting procedures for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other areas that may be under shared services
  • Attends all called and scheduled meetings of all meetings regarding shared services
  • Make recommendations to Director, LE Automation Financial Shared Services and Lincoln Electric Automation finance groups to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency
  • Prepares additional reports and performs other related duties as assigned by the Director, LE Automation Financial Shared Services, and other local Finance professionals for which shared services are provided.
  • Back up others in the department when they are absent.
  • LBS Reporting
  • Ensure reconciliations are done accurately and timely
  • Work to find process improvements, use RPA or other automation.
  • Find ways to standardize processes both in Shared Services and Finance
  • Credit Card and Concur administration
  • Provide support on all audits
  • Ensure that the monthly checklist, reports, reconciliations are assigned and completed
  • AD Hoc projects as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Finance) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Excellent communications, leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop and implement an accounting system that will ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations as well as quality systems
  • Develop problem identification and resolution systems
